Course Overview

This course provides participants with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to conduct grader operations and it applies to those working in site-based roles.

This course is suitable for individuals aiming to start or advance their careers in civil construction, particularly those interested in operating heavy machinery. It is ideal for equipment operators, construction workers, and supervisors seeking to enhance their competencies in grader operations.

This course is delivered by Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860) in partnership with LicensingTL. LicensingTL is responsible for the recruitment, enrolment, support and training of participants undertaking this course. Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860), is responsible for support, assessment and certification of all participants enrolled in this course.

• Plan and prepare for grader operations
• Select, remove, fit and use attachments for grader
• Conduct housekeeping activities
• Operate grader in line with established requirements to complete work activity
• Prepare to relocate the grader

Delivery Information

COURSE DURATION

The full course is delivered 5 days per week for a total of 25 training and assessment days (5 weeks). This is an accredited unit of competency that will include a blend of theory, practice and practical assessment.

DELIVERY

5 weeks of classroom and practical site training and assessment
Self-paced learning and homework approximately 2–3 hours estimated per week

Entry Requirements

Age: Minimum 18 years of age
Language/Literacy: Average reading and writing skills
Oral Communication
Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely
A USI is required for those completing the training in Australia; for those completing the course in Timor-Leste an exemption is applied

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for ‘RIIMPO324F Conduct Civil Construction Grader Operations’ unit of competency.

Please be advised that this course will not lead to an occupational licensed outcome in Australia. However the Timor-Leste regulator IGEADI does recognise this course under their framework.
