Course Overview

This course provides participants with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to load and unload plant, and applies to those working in site-based roles.

This course equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to safely load and unload plant onto and from trailers, floats and transport vehicles. Designed for individuals working in site-based roles, it covers the planning, preparation, loading, securing and unloading procedures required to move plant safely within resources, infrastructure and civil construction environments.

This course is delivered by Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860) in partnership with LicensingTL. LicensingTL is responsible for the recruitment, enrolment, support and training of participants undertaking this course. Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860), is responsible for support, assessment and certification of all participants enrolled in this course.

• Plan and prepare to load and unload plant
• Load the plant onto the trailer or float
• Secure plant to the trailer or float
• Unload the plant from the trailer or float
• Conduct housekeeping activities

COURSE DURATION

The full course is delivered over 2 training and assessment days. This is an accredited unit of competency that will include a blend of theory, practice and practical assessment.

DELIVERY

2 days of classroom and practical site training and assessment
Self-paced learning and homework approximately 2 hours per day

Entry Requirements

Age: Minimum 18 years of age
Language/Literacy: Average reading and writing skills
Oral Communication
Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely
A USI is required for those completing the training in Australia; for those completing the course in Timor-Leste an exemption is applied

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for ‘RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant’ unit of competency.

Please be advised that this course will not lead to an occupational licensed outcome in Australia. However the Timor-Leste regulator IGEADI does recognise this course under their framework.
