Course Overview

This course provides participants with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift and applies to those working in operational roles.

This course equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge to safely and effectively operate a forklift, covering pre-operational checks, safe load handling, storage activities and workplace safety procedures.

This course is delivered by Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860) in partnership with LicensingTL. LicensingTL is responsible for the recruitment, enrolment, support and training of participants undertaking this course. Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860), is responsible for support, assessment and certification of all participants enrolled in this course.

• Plan and prepare to operate a forklift
• Carry out pre-start and operational checks
• Operate forklift to complete work activity
• Relocate the forklift
• Conduct housekeeping activities

COURSE DURATION

This is an accredited unit of competency delivered over 5 days. Training includes a blend of theory, practical hands-on operation and formal assessment.

Entry Requirements

Age: Minimum 18 years of age
Language/Literacy: Average English reading and writing skills
Oral Communication
Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely
A USI is required for those completing the training in Australia; for those completing the course in Timor-Leste an exemption is applied

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for ‘RIIHAN201E Operate a Forklift’ unit of competency.

Please be advised that this course will not lead to an occupational licensed outcome in Australia. However the Timor-Leste regulator IGEADI does recognise this course under their framework.
