Course Overview

This course provides participants with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to perform intermediate rigging operations, including planning for intermediate rigging, preparing rigging equipment and moving loads, and applies to those working in site-based roles.

This course equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge to perform intermediate rigging operations safely and effectively. Designed for individuals working in site-based roles, it builds on basic rigging competencies and covers the additional planning, equipment preparation and load movement skills required for intermediate rigging tasks in the resources, infrastructure and construction industries.

This course is delivered by Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860) in partnership with LicensingTL. LicensingTL is responsible for the recruitment, enrolment, support and training of participants undertaking this course. Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860), is responsible for support, assessment and certification of all participants enrolled in this course.

• Plan and prepare for intermediate rigging operations
• Select and inspect rigging equipment
• Set up rigging equipment
• Move loads using rigging equipment
• Pack up rigging equipment after completion of operations

Delivery Information

COURSE DURATION

The full course is delivered 5 days per week for a total of 10 training and assessment days (2 weeks). This is an accredited unit of competency that will include a blend of theory, practice and practical assessment.

DELIVERY

2 weeks of classroom and practical site training and assessment

Entry Requirements

Age: Minimum 18 years of age
Language/Literacy: Average reading and writing skills
Oral Communication
Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely
A USI is required for those completing the training in Australia; for those completing the course in Timor-Leste an exemption is applied

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for ‘RIIHAN210D Perform Intermediate Rigging Operations’ unit of competency.

Please be advised that this course will not lead to an occupational licensed outcome in Australia. However the Timor-Leste regulator IGEADI does recognise this course under their framework.
