Course Overview

This course provides participants with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries.

This course applies to those working in operational roles. They generally work under supervision to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.

This course is delivered by Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860) in partnership with LicensingTL. LicensingTL is responsible for the recruitment, enrolment, support and training of participants undertaking this course. Industries Services Training, trading as ISAustralia (RTO 0860), is responsible for support, assessment and certification of all participants enrolled in this course.

COURSE DURATION

The full course is delivered over 4 days. This is an accredited unit of competency that will include a blend of theory, practice and practical assessment.

DELIVERY

4 days of classroom and practical site training and assessment
Self-paced learning and homework approximately 1–2 hours estimated per day

Entry Requirements

Age: Minimum 18 years of age
Language/Literacy: Average reading and writing skills
Oral Communication
Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely
A USI is required for those completing the training in Australia; for those completing the course in Timor-Leste an exemption is applied

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for ‘RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces’ unit of competency.

Please be advised that this course will not lead to an occupational licensed outcome in Australia. However the Timor-Leste regulator IGEADI does recognise this course under their framework.
